We are looking for a Lead Engineer with the ability to take care of a large-scale data platform.
Our customer is developing a smart city. Currently, we are focusing on developing a Data Platform. The main focus is on the product providing standardized and secure communication between the different cores. The main core communicates with many different cores which have many different types of data. The product will touch a huge number of people worldwide and many different branches of the economy.
What will be your responsibilities?
Your main responsibilities for this position will be:
- Overseeing the design, development, and upkeep of a large-scale federated data platform.
- Designing and enhancing APIs.
- Taking care of the microservices architecture.
- Design and optimize distributed systems to handle large-scale data processing and storage requirements.
- Taking care of the data security.
- Providing guidance to engineers on subjects that demand extensive technical knowledge.
Requirements
This offer will be a perfect match for you if you have:
- 10+ years of experience in the backend (Python / Golang, Terraform) and/or platform engineering positions.
- Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or similar role, with a focus on building data mesh platforms and guiding teams.
- In-depth understanding of microservices architecture principles and best practices.
- Vast experience with distributed systems and data platform technologies, including processing engines like Apache Spark and streaming systems such as Apache Kafka.
Nice to have:
- Proficiency in object storage solutions such as MinIO for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a closely related field.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
